Spotlight on Anna Kellner

In 2022, we are celebrating 25 successful years of a partnership with the Florida Conservation Corps. Part of that celebration includes highlighting members who continued their careers by joining the Florida State Parks team.

Anna served two terms with AmeriCorps, one in New York and one in Florida, before joining Florida State Parks as a park services specialist.

A butterfly has landed on Anna's shoulder.

Anna Kellner served two AmeriCorps terms - in 2019 and in 2021 - for a total of 2,300 hours.

Her first term of service was at Wellesley Island State Park in New York with the Student Conservation Association. During her time there, she focused on environmental education through various programs, field trips, social media and graphic design. Anna’s second term was with the Florida Conservation Corps as a Project R.O.A.R. (Regional Outreach and Awareness Recruiter) member at Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park. During her service, she focused on coordinating outreach programs and recruiting volunteers.

Anna now works as the park services specialist at William J. "Billy Joe" Rish State Recreation Area in Port St. Joe. She specializes in event and in volunteer coordination and also serves as the park’s interpretive chairperson.

During Anna’s service in the Florida Conservation Corps, she most enjoyed her weeklong trip to Big Lagoon State Park, where the team worked to remove non-native plants.

Thank you for your service, Anna, and we’re so glad you decided to become a part of the Florida State Parks family!
