Volunteer Spotlight, Becky Pulley

Becky Pulley has been volunteering with the Crystal River Archaeological State Park for about one year now, and her dedication and commitment to providing high quality visitor services has shined through in that time. Becky greets each visitor as they enter the museum, warmly welcoming them to the cultural site and ensuring they know where to come for questions.

Originally from Indiana, Becky fell in love with state parks as a child, where she spent her summers learning to swim and running and playing with her cousins. Becky and her husband moved to Florida in 2020 and both began volunteering in Florida State Parks. Becky says she enjoys working in the museum and talking with visitors from all over the world. According to Becky, “The most rewarding part of volunteering is helping our visitors get to Florida State Parks and provide the information they ask for to enjoy not only our park but all Florida State Parks!"

Outside of her volunteer duties, she enjoys fishing, camping and traveling. Becky has visited many state and national parks.

Staff describe Becky as a delight to work with, knowledgeable about the park, and always offering a friendly welcome to park visitors as they come into the museum!

Thank you for your volunteer efforts, Becky! The staff and visitors of Crystal River State Parks appreciate you!
