Spring Run Stabilization Project
DEP has partnered with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to stabilize the banks of the spring head and spring run at Blue Spring State Park.
From April 1 to Nov. 15, 2024, in-water activities will be closed at Blue Spring State Park. This includes swimming, snorkeling, tubing, diving and paddling. However, boat tours and paddling will be allowed in the St. Johns River during this time.
While the stabilization project is underway, other improvements including an upgraded manatee release area, an improved swimming platform and a new boardwalk along the spring run to the spring head will be also be constructed.
When visiting the park, please adhere to all posted signs and avoid closed areas.
