Kay is the recipient of the 2023 Volunteer Award for a Special Project in Resource-based Recreation.
Kay’s newest endeavor has been the Blue Spring Tracked Chair Program. Kay started a partnership with the Friends of Seminole State Forest to alternate using their battery-operated track chair to increase trail accessibility. Kay’s accomplishments at the park are extensive, and her positivity and confidence make projects we thought were impossible to accomplish, possible.
