Leeanne Chandler
Award for Excellence in Administration
Leeanne is the administrative assistant for seven state park and one trail in the Tallahassee area. The group includes Lake Jackson Mounds Archaeological State Park, San Marcos de Apalache Historic State Park, Econfina River State Park, Natural Bridge Battlefield Historic State Park, Letchworth-Love Mounds Archaeological State Park, St. Marks River Preserve State Park, Lake Talquin State Park with its newly acquired dam operation and the Tallahassee-St. Marks Historic Railroad State Trail. These units are spread over five counties.
The administrative tasks associated with these parks is extensive and complex. Leeanne's organizational skills were obvious when she was tasked with implementing a new web-based purchasing card system. She trained herself and then developed tools for helping other staff members learn and use this new system more efficiently.
The Award for Excellence in Administration is awarded annually to an employee or volunteer who in their everyday job performance have made significant administrative contributions that relate to the success over and above division standards and goals during the previous year.
