Welcome to Three Rivers State Park

Where Florida meets the southwest corner of Georgia, the Chattahoochee and Flint rivers converge to form Lake Seminole, the setting for this peaceful park. Hiking through forested hills of pine and mixed hardwoods, visitors might catch sight of fox squirrels, white-tailed deer, gray foxes, or many species of native and migratory birds. Anglers can launch from a boat ramp to enjoy some of the best freshwater fishing in the state, or fish from a 100-foot pier in the camping area. A shady picnic area, with tables and grills, overlooks the lake. For large gatherings, a picnic pavilion that seats up to 60 people is available for rental. Overnight visitors can stay in a full-facility campground next to the lake or enjoy the comforts of a modern cabin. Located two miles north of Sneads on State Road 271 (River Road).

Sneads, FL 32460Three River SP is easily reached via I-10. Take Exit 158 and travel north into the town of Sneads. At Sneads, turn left (west) onto Hwy 90. Turn right (north) onto River Road at the flashing yellow light. Park is located two miles north of Sneads.

Park Fees

Admission Fee:

$3.00 per vehicle. Please use the honor box to pay fees. Correct change is required. Limit 8 people per vehicle.

$2.00 Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.

Camping Fee:

$16.00 per night, plus tax. Includes water and electricity.

Cabin Fees:

$65.00 plus tax, per night.

Picnic Pavilion Fees:

$30.00 per day, plus tax: Seats 30 to 60 people. Water and electric are available. The pavilion overlooks Lake Seminole.

Activities at Three Rivers State Park

	Bicycling Bicyclists can ride on several miles of paved park roads, encountering moderate elevation changes along the way.
	Boat Ramp There are two small boat ramps within the park, suitable for smaller watercraft. One ramp is located within the campground, for use by registered campers only. The other ramp is located close to the picnic area, for general use by park visitors. There are also two county-maintained boat ramps that will accommodate larger craft; one of these ramps is found on the eastern boundary of the park, the other is found on the western boundary of the park.
	Boating Three Rivers State Park borders on scenic Lake Seminole. The lake tends to be shallow in many areas, with considerable aquatic vegetation. Old tree stumps also are found throughout the lake. We find most of our seasoned boaters prefer shallow draft boats for these reasons.
	Cabins One cabin is available in the park campground. Built in log cabin style, the cabin boasts air conditioning, heating, and has a wood-burning fireplace. There is a queen size bed in a downstairs bedroom, and two smaller beds located in a small loft. A fully equipped kitchen with an electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, and utensils is also provided. A bathroom with shower is also found inside the cabin. 	Canoeing & Kayaking Lake Seminole provides an excellent venue for canoeing and kayaking. Aluminum canoes can be rented at the park for $12 per day. Life preservers and paddles are provided.
	Facilities The park offers 30 family camping sites of varying sizes, each with electric and water hookups. A dump station is located within the park. There is one cabin available for rent. A large picnic area has three separate pavilions with picnic tables, grills, and restrooms nearby. A group camp that can accommodate up to 100 tent campers is also found within the park.
	Fishing Fishing is a popular activity at the park since Lake Seminole is well-known for its yields. Largemouth and smallmouth bass, catfish, bluegill, speckled perch, and bream are some of the fish that might be landed by anglers. A Florida fresh water fishing license is required for persons 16 years of age or older. Do you need a Fishing License?
	Full Facility Camping Camping is permitted in the Lakeside Camping Area where we have 30 beautifully shaded and semi-private campsites available for reservation. 30 of these sites have water and electric. Both Florida and Georgia are in view from our campsites. We have a dump station conveniently located near the camping area. Reservations can be made through Reserve America.
	Group Camping Three Rivers offers an excellent group camp---the Highlands Group Camp. Up to 100 tent campers can stay in the camp, which features a large brick bathhouse. The bathhouse has separate sides for men and women, and each side has several showers, toilets, and sinks. Two new "group size" grills have been installed in the Highlands area. You must call the park directly at 850-482-9006 to make reservations to stay in the group camp.
	Hiking/Nature Trails Two hiking trails are currently found in the park. One trail begins within our campground, offering campers a scenic stroll along the shoreline of Lake Seminole. The other trail begins at the edge of the park picnic area, and takes hikers on a moderately strenuous hike through the hill country that typifies this unique area of Florida.
	Pavilion There are three picnic pavilions (open air) located in the park picnic area. Each of these pavilions can be reserved for $30 plus tax by calling the park at 850-482-9006. Pavilions can be used without a reservation on a first-come, first-served basis.
	Pet Camping Pets must be confined, leashed (not to exceed six feet in length) or otherwise under the physical control of a person at all times. Tethered pets must not be left unattended for more than 30 minutes. Quiet hours must be observed from 11:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. Pet owners must pick up after their pets and properly dispose of all pet droppings in trash receptacles. Florida law requires that pets be vaccinated against rabies. Any pet that is noisy, dangerous, intimidating or destructive will not be allowed to remain in the park. Non-furbearing pets, such as reptiles, birds, or fish must be confined or under the physical control of the owner. Some animals may be prohibited on park property. Failure to abide by these rules may result in the camper being asked to board the pet outside the park or to leave the campground.
	Pets Pets are welcome at the park as long as they are kept on a six-foot leash and are well behaved. Pets are also allowed to stay in the campground under the same guidelines. NOTE: Sorry, pets are NOT allowed to stay in the cabin. Please pick up after your pet and do not allow them to run free or bark incessantly.
	Picnic Areas A large picnic area in the park overlooks Lake Seminole, providing spectacular views of the lake, and the Georgia shoreline on the opposite side of the lake. Three picnic pavilions, grills, picnic tables, and a restroom are located in the picnic area. A hiking trail also begins in the picnic area. A small fishing dock is also located in this area
	Playground There is a playground within the park, which have state of the art equipment and bench’s to sit on.
	RV Camping There are 30 camping sites in our family campground, each with electric and water hookups, a picnic table, and grill ring. A dump station is located within the park. These sites will accommodate RV’s of varying sizes. Call Reserve America for more information or to make reservations. Firewood is available for sale in the campground at reasonable prices. Sorry, no gathering of firewood on park grounds. A small boat ramp is located in the campground, along with a large fishing pier that extends out onto Lake Seminole.
	Wildlife Viewing Wildlife and bird viewing opportunities are bountiful at Three Rivers State Park! Bald Eagles make their nests within the park, and can be seen soaring over the lake. Waterfowl by the hundreds seek refuge in the quiet bays and sloughs that surround the park. Deer are a very common sight, along with the ubiquitous raccoon and our own population of eastern fox squirrels. These large squirrels are a sight to behold, with silvery white fur, often with a mask of black covering their faces. Many species of rare or uncommon plants can also be found throughout the park.

Answer: When the Jim Woodruff Dam was constructed it created Lake Seminole into which two rivers empty--The Flint River and the Chattahoochee River. As the water passes through the Jim Woodruff Dam, it forms a third river, named the Apalachicola River.
